Sheffield Doc/Fest 2009 presents its film programme
Sheffield International Documentary Film Festival has now made its programme of films throughout the 2009 Doc/Fest, available for viewing.
The 16th annual Sheffield International Documentary Film festival will screen more than 100 films over the five days from 4-8 November including award-winning international documentaries and 16 world and 10 EU premieres. This year there will be a special focus on Russian documentary.

Following their success in previous years at Sheffield Doc/Fest, a number of segments of the festival will keep up with current trends in documentary filmmaking; the Music Doc, Green Doc, Arts Doc and Bent Doc strands will be joined by new sections, Comedy Docs and Cross-platform Docs.
All films will be available to both festival delegates and the general public. To see the film schedule, for ticket sales and further details go to www.sheffdocfest.com

Urban Screens is an exciting new project being piloted in the Broomhall area of Sheffield using high tec screens and content created by local young people to create visual newspapers reflecting the diversity of the area.
Residents of Broomhall will be able to tell their life stories which will then be beamed around the area on the 32ins TVs - which will be placed in secure areas.
